Some quick updates:   We are moving along in the house-purchasing process.  Hopefully, we'll be signing somewhere around the end of October.   Speaking of which, things are going to be fun on moving day(s), as the family that's selling us their house...has decided to rent ours!   Speaking of moving, since we're expecting our 3rd child, it looks like we can have up to 930 euros of our moving expenses reimbursed.  This suddenly makes using a moving company extremely attractive.   Tomorrow, we're leaving on Part II of our vacation.  (Part I being, of course, when my parents were here.)  This was actually unplanned, but Thomas's parents have friends with an apartment in Dinard, in Brittany.  They offered it to us for a week.  For free.  We didn't say no.
